Tasting Experience: Expect a vibrant, juicy cup that opens with fragrant honeysuckle and sweet cantaloupe. Mixed berries follow, adding layers of fruit, while bright mandarin orange lifts the cup and a creamy strawberry yogurt sweetness lingers on the finish.
Ideal for: Best enjoyed as a filter brew to let its floral brightness and juicy fruit shine. With milk, the strawberry yogurt sweetness stands out even more, giving a creamy, berry-sweet cup.
Buku Abel Washing Station sits in Hambella, in Ethiopia’s Guji region. It’s grown on high-altitude farms, where cooler air slows the ripening of the cherries and builds sweetness and complexity. Built in 2019, the station is a newer name in a region known for sweet, fruit-forward cups. Naturally processed, it shows a more expressive side of Guji. Cherries are dried on raised beds and covered during the hottest hours of the day, ensuring slow, even drying and a clean cup.
